Alexandra Korobkina Sascha Korobkina was born in July 1987 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She was only 4 1/2 years old when her parents took her to a music school. The teacher asked her what instrument she would like to play, her answered was the violin. From 1992-1997 she studied at the Musical schools N 11, N 14 of Saint-Petersburg, violin classes of Anna Dyadyna, Savely Shalman. She began her present study in 1997 at the Special Musical School of Saint-Petersburg Conservatoire, violin class of Professor Savely Shalman. She took Master-classes lessons with world-famous musicians as Igor Oistrakh, Zakhar Bron, Eduard Gratch, Roman Totenberg, Petru Munteanu, Wolfgang Marschner, Werner Sholtz, Marina Jashvilly, Rimma Sushanskaya. They all think that she is one of the most remarkable young violinists in Russia. She has already been giving concerts in cities of Russia, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Finland, France, Austria, Norway, and participation in festivals. Some performances with orchestra such as, State Academy Symphony Orchestra, Congress-Orchestra, Youth Orchestra Baltic and Saratov Academy Symphony Orchestra of Philharmony. In 1997 she won 1 prize at The Open All-Russian Competition of Children and Youth Ensembles, Saint-Petersburg and the same year also 1 prize at The Saint-Petersburg Open Competition for Young Violinists, Cellists and Harp Players. In 1999 she won the Young Assemblies of Arts in Moscow and Grants of Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg in Russia.
